This is what we use to make our own high extraction bread flour.
High extraction bread flour is whole grain flour with some percentage of the bran sifted out. Great for when you want a lighter loaf yet retain the nutrition found in the germ.
It’s amazing how much course bran can be easily and quickly sifted out of a few cups of whole grain flour using this simple mesh strainer. It’s a reasonable alternative to an expense grain mill attachment or purchasing a larger than needed quanitity of high extraction flour and risk spoilage before you’re done using it.
