Made in the USA of Kevlar®
Protects up to 500F Degrees

A practical alternative to the clumsy oven mitt. An oven mitt has two core requirements: to protect your hands from burning when handling hot objects, while offering enough dexterity to keep from dropping those hot items.

Made with Kevlar® and Nomex®, these oven gloves withstand extreme heat up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Enough protection to safely handle the high temperatures called for in the no knead bread recipes or home pizza making. Now it’s easy to lift that piping hot loaf from its baking dish or baking stone. Please be aware that cast iron transmits heat much faster than ceramic, so if you’re taking heavy and very hot cast iron bakeware out of the oven, it has to be done quickly and preferably with additional protection (eg. towel, hot pad).

  • One size fits most adult women
  • Machine wash cold and air dry

Note: If you purchase both the men’s and ladies gloves, you can tell them apart by the cuff trim. It’s yellow on the mens and white on the ladies.

Breadtopia Oven Gloves (pair) – Womens

These fit well and definitely have saved my hands from burns. I started using my oven mitts when I was baking breads but after all these years I found them to be ineffective with the high heat needed to make a good sourdough bread. After looking at different types I chose these because they had good ratings and also had protection for my wrists. Many of my baking vessels had high sides and I was wary of burning my hands and wrists. These gloves give me the confidence to flip in my bread without a worry.

I have small hands and the ladies size barely fits on me. I wish I’d gotten the men’s size.

The one star is because my 500F cast iron burnt my whole palm and fingers when pulling it out of the oven. I held it less than 5 seconds before it was unbearable. The gloves were dry and worn correctly. They even got shiny melt marks where the pan handle had been. I had to remove the glove as fast as I could too because the heat lingered even after the cast iron had been set down.

I love these gloves. They fit great and they do the job just as described. It’s easy to grab the bakewear with these gloves. Highly recommend

Where have these gloves been all my life! I love the dexterity and they are terrific for manipulating the bread pans into and out of the oven, but now I use them not just for baking but all my cooking.

My wife loves these gloves! They fit good, are durable, and protect from heat just like they say. Thanks!

I have always used big mitts or potholders. These are a great addition to my baking or really any oven item. Gloves give me more dexterity and control than mitts or potholders.

Although you do have more dexterity with these gloves than with oven mitts, they do not protect your hands very well when you remove the lid off the cloche in your 450F oven. Because of the rather tight fit- and I have small hands- the hot glove material is held directly against your skin. You have to move quickly and then yank them off. Very disappointed.

Finally a glove that fits a woman’s hand. Nicely made and comfortable when handling hot pots.

I am not happy with these. I got two in December, for baking bread. The oven has to be set for 450-500. These gloves seemed OK the first couple of times and now , if I touch the rack or the Dutch Oven or Breadtopia Clay baker with my fingers, I get burned. I can hold things with my palms, but I will need to get another pair of gloves so I am not afraid to touch anything.

These gloves work well, so well in fact, that my hands didn’t get burned or steamed today while bread baking! I often burned or steamed my hands, but believe I have found a solution in these gloves. Yay!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these gloves!!! They make it so much easier to get my HOT cloches out of the oven, the tops off to put the bread dough in and then put the top back on and slide the cloche right back in the oven. So much less cumbersome than trying to use double pot holders in each hand and still having to worry about burning myself. These gloves make it easy to perform these tasks with extremely hot (500 degrees F) objects. I still watch myself to make sure my arms do not touch anything hot, but you need to do that no matter what you use. The only warning I have is that it is easy to snag your gloves so just be carful there. I snagged mine right after I got it, but I just did a quick darn stich on it to stop it from causing a bigger hole. I’ve had these for months and months now and they are still like new. One suggestion for taking them off is to first grab the tip of a finger and pinch the layers together before you pull it off a little. Do that with each finger and then you can easily remove the gloves without the layers within feeling like they are separating. (Did I mention I LOVE these gloves?! I’m ordering a pair for my husband right now — they’ll be great for him with the BBQ.)

These gloves are great! I especially appreciate that they fit my hands pretty well. It makes it so much easier to handle a very hot clay baker! I really did not feel the heat through the gloves, although it might’ve been different if I kept my hands on the hot baker for a sustained period. Highly recommended!

The gloves, like most materials, lose their heat protection as soon as they get wet. Accidentally touch a finger to something wet and it’s like having no protection.

These gloves work fine for temps about 350 degrees F, but I found the Dutch Oven at 450 degrees beginning to burn my hands after 15 seconds.

Size is nice and large, with a soft fabric. Some may think the fingers too large, but it’s certainly more maneuverable than a mitt. We’re ready to try wearing them outside in the snow!

These met my expectations and then some. I was pulling a 500f pre-heated Dutch oven out of the oven, putting it back, lifting the lid, etc… and pre-heated cast iron cornbread pans as well. I never felt the heat. I am grateful that you found an item that is Made in the USA. And these are cheaper than the Asian imports, I am so tired of everything imported from China. Don’t forget to buy two to make a pair

These gloves are so much better than regular oven mitts. It was so easy grabbing the stainless steel bowl off the pizza stone after the first 20 minutes of baking bread. Another great product from the U.S.A.!

i have small hands, so the gloves are clumsy for me because the fingers won’t stay pulled on as far as they need to be. that leaves 1/2″ too long on my thumbs and 2″ too long on my smallest fingers and at least a full inch too much width across the palms. if they fit well, they would be a “5+” for great heat protection.

  17. Patti Johnson

THEY WORK GREAT! I just received my two gloves (you gotta get two of these — especially if you are using dutch ovens or clay bakers!) and they WORK GREAT! Wow! It is so nice to have a bit of dexterity available when handling my hot pots and pans (not to mention handling my La Cloche Baker when it’s been pre-heated). I didn’t feel any heat at all so the 540 degree Fahrenheit heat protection must be TRUE. The highest I ever use for my clay bakers is 450-500 degrees F.

I feel very safe using these gloves when I’m cooking and baking in my kitchen. I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this product!

these things are the cat’s meow. they are indispensable if you are into baking at ALL. I can’t believe I’ve lived without them as long as I have. Awesomeness. The dexterity & the heat protection are amazing.
