This lidded ceramic butter keeper is the traditional French method for keeping butter fresh and spreadable without refrigeration for up to 30 days. The modern water-submerged butter crock is thought to have first appeared in France in the Middle Ages.
Hand thrown in San Diego, USA, and no two are alike. The speckled glaze interior holds up to one stick of perfectly fluffy, spreadable butter — just add 1/3 cup of water to the base, and you won’t keep butter any other way.
Approximately 4 – 4¼” in diameter and 2¼” high.
