An easy but elegant dessert. The shortcakes are rich and dark and a perfect foil for the raspberries. A dollop of lightly sweetened whipped cream rounds out the flavors, textures and colors of this spectacular treat.
These shortcakes are great with all sorts of fruit variations. You can omit the raspberries and substitute strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, nectarines, or apricots in any combination. You’ll need to adjust the sugar in the “berries” section to taste.
