Knekkebrød — Norwegian Crisp Bread
Knekkebrød or Norwegian crisp breads are flat, dry crackers that are absolutely delicious by themselves as well as topped with butter or anything else that inspires you. The foundation of this flatbread is wholemeal rye flour, water, and salt. Rolled oats, bran flakes, sunflower seeds, chopped pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and sesame seeds are usually in the ingredient lists as well. Breadtopia’s twist on tradition is that we also put sourdough starter into the batter and allow for a period of fermentation. This unlocks more nutrients in the grains and adds more flavor to the crisps.

Knekkebrød — Norwegian Crisp Bread
Norwegian Crisp Bread aka "Knekkebrød" is a thoroughly enjoyable flatbread. The crisps are packed with nutrients and fiber, delicious by themselves or topped with anything from smoked fish to berry jam, and as for staling / shelf life, they will stay fresh a lot longer than you will resist eating them.
