Round Eurita Clay Baker and Dutch Oven — 2 Qt.

Comparable to the Romertopf 99150

From the same manufacturer that brought you Romertopf, the Eurita clay baker is undoubtedly one of the best methods for cooking and baking at home. Its size and shape accommodates most loaf sizes, from the basic No Knead recipe to loaves twice that size. The inside base of the Eurita baker is coated with a glass frit glaze for easy cleaning and non-stick benefits. (The inside of the lid is not glazed.)

As for its bread baking applications, the moist dough cooking inside the clay baker creates the steam required for a crackly, golden crust and light crumb. It completely eliminates the need to spritz your bread or pour water in a hot skillet. This item will truly become one of your most versatile, appreciated and often used kitchen items.

The Eurita line pays homage to Ms. Rita Bolle, who as a single mother, introduced Romertopf clay pot cooking to the United States from Germany five decades ago. We are delighted to share her work with our fellow Breadtopians.

I love this baker. Perfect size for most of my loaves and helps to keep the soft dough of the ancient grains from spreading out and creating flat loaves.

  2. Michael (verified owner)

I absolutely love this little baker. It is great for using a wet dough and getting a nice rise. I use Breadtopia’s Einkorn whole grain flour and Select bread flour half and half. I used to get these almost flat loafs and this solved my problem.
